Further background
Refer to the Project Vision Document submitted in Assessment Item 1 regarding COVID-safeguard project. In this assignment, you are required to prepare various system analysis activities for the proposed system.
Please refer to the marking guide when preparing your response to see what criteria and standards will be used to assess your work and your progress.
Assessment Item 2 Tasks
This assignment has four (4) tasks as described below:
Task 1. Create one questionnaire that you would send to one stakeholder group with an aim to help you identify further details about the environment, the problem area and/or how the system would operate to help solve the problem.
• Identify which stakeholder you are going to send the questionnaire to.
• Write an introduction statement that will go with the questionnaire explaining the purpose of the questionnaire.
• Write 10 questions, seven (7) closed-ended and three (3) open questions.
• This should be written as a questionnaire that could be distributed.
• Only write the questions, you should not write the answers.
Task 2. Draw a use case diagram using all possible use cases and actors for COVID-safeguard system. Also write brief use case descriptions for any five (5) use cases.
Task 3. Develop System Sequence Diagrams (SSD) for the use cases you have identified in Task 2 of this assignment, so you need to develop five (5) SSDs.
Task 4. Write a fully developed use case description using ONLY one use case for the proposed COVID-safeguard system.
RATIONALE
This assessment task will assess the following learning outcome/s:
• be able to compare and contrast the different methodologies of systems analysis and evaluate their appropriateness for different and complex situations.
• be able to distinguish between requirement gathering techniques and combine these appropriately to apply to a real scenario.
• be able to evaluate development requirements and prepare a feasibility proposal based on multi-disciplinary (financial, human resource, technological) analyses.
• be able to formulate and justify system requirement models based on evaluation of given situations.
MARKING CRITERIA AND STANDARDS

Criteria High Distinction (HD) Distinction (DI) Credit (CR) Pass (PS) Fail (FL)
Task 1. Questionnaire
4 Marks 10 or more questions are stated that demonstrates breadth and depth of understanding and has insights to and awareness of many of the deeper more subtle aspects of the topic. Evidence of having read beyond the core material. (3.40-4.00) 7 or more questions are stated that demonstrates breadth of understanding and has insights to aspects of the topic. Evidence of having read the core material. (3.00-3.39) 5 or more questions are stated that demonstrates understanding. Evidence of having read the core material.(2.60-2.99) 3 or less questions stated, little evidence of having read material presented in core texts and readings. Basic knowledge of key principles and concepts. (2.00-2.59) 1 or less questions stated, very little evidence of having read material presented in core texts and readings. Limited knowledge of key principles and concepts. (0.00-1.99)
Task 2. Draw a use case diagram using all possible use cases and actors for COVID-safeguard system. Also write brief use case descriptions for any five (5) use cases.
5 Marks All possible use cases are identified and use case diagram is accurately drawn using relevant actors for the proposed Covid-safeguard system, brief use case description is very well described using five use cases. (4.25-5.00) Most of the use cases are identified and use case diagram is mostly accurate using relevant actors for the proposed Covid-safeguard system, brief use case description is well described using four use cases. (3.75-4.24) Some of the use cases are identified and use case diagram is drawn with some errors for the proposed Covid-safeguard system, brief use case description is described using three use cases. Only some omissions. (3.25-3.74) Few use cases are identified and use case diagram is drawn using few actors for the proposed Covid-safeguard system, brief use case description is described using three use cases, but there are few mistakes. (2.50-3.24) Wrong use cases are identified, and diagram is wrong with irrelevant links with actors, brief use case description has major omissions. (0.00-2.49)
Task 3. Develop System Sequence Diagrams (SSD) for the use cases you have identified in Task 2 of this assignment, so you need to develop five (5) SSDs.
5 Marks
Five SSDs are accurate for the proposed system; identified all possible messages using loop, alt, and opt frames, used accurate notations. (4.25-5.00) Four SSDs are mostly accurate for the proposed system; identified most of the messages using loop, alt, and opt frames, used accurate notations. (3.75-4.24) Three SSDs are drawn for the proposed system; identified some messages using some of the loop, alt, and opt frames, notations used in diagram has some errors. (3.25-3.74) Three SSDs are drawn for the proposed system; identified few messages using basic notations, diagrams have number of errors. (2.50-3.24) SSDs have major omissions. (0.00-2.49)
Task 4. Write a fully developed use case description using ONLY one use case.
4 Marks All possible compartments of fully developed use case description are identified with accurate description of all compartments. (3.40-4.00) Major compartments of fully developed use case description are identified with accurate description of major compartments.
(3.00-3.39) Some of the major compartments of fully developed use case description are identified with description of some compartments.
(2.60-2.99) Few compartments of fully developed use case description are identified with description of only few compartments. (2.00-2.59) Most of the compartments of fully developed use case description are wrong.
(0.00-1.99)
